About Us

HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

  • Mepco Schlenk charities has sown the seed for their educational institution in the year 1996 at Tirumangalam, Madurai in the name of MEPCO SCHLENK MATRICULATION SCHOOL.
  • MEPCO refers to the Metal Powder Company and Schlenk is their German Collaborator.

SPOT OF THE SCHOOL

  • It is located in a spacious 14-acre (6,09,092 Sq.ft) plot with a congenial atmosphere for study.
  • This institution has classes from Std VI to Std XII.
  • MEPCO SCHLENK NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL was bifurcated from MEPCO SCHLENK MATRIC.HR.SEC.SCHOOL, Maravankulam in April 2002.
  • The main campus is located beyond the railway lines.
  • The classrooms are in two different blocks. The main block covers an area of 15,771 sq.ft and it’s a two-storied building, with different Labs for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology on the second floor.
  • The new block covers 9,306 sq.ft. Library, Computer Lab, and a meeting hall are located there.

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • The management has established robust infrastructure with modern and innovative amenities together with several useful attractions to young children.
  • A lot of trees are there on both sides of the road and the pavement.
  • Much importance is given to the wash and toilet.
  • They are set with glazed tiles and the students are trained to make proper use of them, thereby ascertaining cleanliness.
  • The architecture of this building is entirely unique-a step ahead in all its endeavors.
  • The natural flow of light and air provides a conducive and joyful learning environment for the children.
  • Alternate power sources are also available.

PLAY AREA

  • The play ground is in a vast area of 2,18,000 sq.ft with volley ball, Football, shuttle and Throw ball courts.
  • Dining hall and indoor games room are situated in an area of 3769 sq.ft.
  • There is a skating rink too.

  • The School has the following Timings :

    For Class VI to XII- 8.40 am to 4.00 pm (Monday to Saturday)

  • The children are welcomed into the school sharply, at 8.30 am. to ensure a prompt start for the 9.00 am. morning session.

    Staff and Students gather usually in the assembly hall for the prayersat 8.40am.

  • LSRW(Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing) Special care is given to magnify the students’ LSRW skills.
  • CSC Our computer curriculum is in association with Techno-Elite Series wherein children are taught to develop the 21 st century skills with a computer integrated classroom program. Computer lab with corporate standards and 35(64-bit)high quality pcs with latest licensed version software. Apart from the curriculum we are following the courses PHOTOSHOP(Std VI ), MS-EXCEL (Std VII ), HTML (Std VIII) & PYTHON (Std IX ) and course completion certificate is issued to the students.
  • NEET & JEE classes are conducted for our students in our school premises to grab the opportunity to shine well in reputed educational institutions.

  • Based on frequent observation of student’s participation in school activities, their interest, interaction,and classroom behavior.
  • Grade VI to XII have unit tests every week.
  • Classes VI to VIII have regular Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment/ Doing group and individual activities
  • Classes X, XI and XII have monthly tests / Mid Term Test /Cycle Test/ Quarterly Examination / Halfyearly Examination / Revision Examinations

  • Original transfer certificate from the previous school with all details including EMIS Number.

Transport

Van facilities are available for transporting the students from Melakkottai, Utchapatti, Tharmathupatti, Kappaloor and Thirumangalam..

A fleet of well–maintained buses equipped with GPS, CCTV Camera, speed governor devices, experienced drivers to help the children commute to school safely.

First aid materials are kept ready in each bus to handle any situation.
